Our annual “It’s All About Love” concert featuring the John Dillard Band returns at SouthPark Church on Friday, February 7th. Tickets are $75 each and include a delicious dinner generously donated by FS Food Group and Calle Sol. We will have a cash bar and some great raffles and silent auction items. Instruments of Love Concert with the Rowan Big Band All-Stars

Do you love to listen to and support talented local musicians? Do you enjoy dancing? Are you passionate about supporting local survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence, and addiction? On Sunday, August 11th, Dahlia Grove will be hosting another fabulous Instruments of Love concert SouthPark Church at 5 p.m. We will welcome the gifted Rowan Big Band All-Stars for entertainment as well as offer dinner for purchase and drinks for donation. There will be merchandise for sale that has been hand-crafted by Dahlia Grove residents as well as amazing raffle opportunities available! Admission is free but love offerings are gratefully received.

Instruments of Love Concert

The Rowan Big Band All Stars is an 18-piece community big band in the tradition of Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Duke Ellington and other great early twentieth-century artists. They are based in Landis, NC and specialize in Big Band, Swing and Great American Songbook favorites.

First organized in 2006, the Rowan Big Band is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving this uniquely American style of music and thrives on sharing it with others. The members of the band volunteer their talents for performances, and the proceeds from their musical performances are used to support various local charities.

From the beginning, founder Ron Turbyfill’s vision for the Band has been to support local charitable organizations by providing quality entertainment for charity events and fundraisers while keeping the heritage of big band music alive and well.

Dahlia Grove is honored to welcome the Rowan Big Band All Stars to our fundraising stage once again.

All proceeds from the concert go to the mission of Dahlia Grove.

Stomp Out Human Trafficking Virtual Walk-A-Thon

This summer, we invite you to join us as we Stomp Out Human Trafficking with our first virtual Walk-A-Thon.

July 30th is World Day Against Trafficking in Persons. The U.S. Department of State estimates that there are 27.6 million victims worldwide at any given time.

In honor of those 27.6 million victims, we are committing to fund-raise and complete 27.6 miles in July.

Maybe you’re a hardcore runner and this is easy peasy. Maybe you firmly believe that every day should be “Rest Day”. No matter where you fall between the two, we know…You. Got. This!

EVENT DETAILS

The event takes place July 1 - 31.

  • Total of 27.6 miles over 31 days…that’s only 0.89 miles per day!

  • Walk at your own pace, in your own way - with a friend, group, pet, kids, etc.

  • Honor system, track yourself - you got this!

At the end of July, we will mail out a gorgeous die cast medal as your reward for completing the walk-a-thon, and helping us raise awareness. So... what are you waiting for?!?!

Once your registered, we will send you all the important event details, as well as information about fundraising and our raffle basket.

Don’t worry… we will be here to cheer you on every step of the way! Here are just a few ways you can get your miles in:
• Hit some trails with your bestie (before the weather warms up)
• Do a weekend pub crawl with friends (we won't judge)
• Opt for the treadmill at the gym (don't hate...it's indoors)
• Join a running club (or don’t… the choice is yours)
• Grab your fur baby’s leash and rack up some miles with the dog

Invite your friends to participate! This is a completely virtual event so anyone, anywhere can enter. Once the first person registers, you will receive info on creating a team. Your team can consist of friends, family, coworkers, neighbors, gym buddies, running clubs, or even book club members. Pretty cool, right?

Please join us on the fairway this May for our 3rd Annual Golf Challenge at Raintree Country Club.

This is not just any ordinary golf tournament. By participating, you'll be joining us in the fight against human trafficking, domestic violence and sexual exploitation. These are some of the most pressing issues of our time. Your contribution will support the work of Dahlia Grove, providing vital resources and assistance to survivors.

In addition to supporting a great cause, you'll also have the chance to compete against other golfers, enjoy a day on the green, and win some fantastic prizes. We'll have food, and drinks, to keep you energized throughout the day.
