The Rowan Big Band All Stars is an 18-piece community big band in the tradition of Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Duke Ellington and other great early twentieth-century artists. They are based in Landis, NC and specialize in Big Band, Swing and Great American Songbook favorites.
First organized in 2006, the Rowan Big Band is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving this uniquely American style of music and thrives on sharing it with others. The members of the band volunteer their talents for performances, and the proceeds from their musical performances are used to support various local charities.
From the beginning, founder Ron Turbyfill’s vision for the Band has been to support local charitable organizations by providing quality entertainment for charity events and fundraisers while keeping the heritage of big band music alive and well.
Dahlia Grove is honored to welcome the Rowan Big Band All Stars to our fundraising stage once again.
All proceeds from the concert go to the mission of Dahlia Grove.
