Dahlia Grove’s focus is on long-term rehabilitation across the entire spectrum – physical health, mental health, life skills and employment skills. The trauma our clients endure is deep and all encompassing – we believe in the long-term methodology pioneered by Thistle Farms has proven to be the most effective approach to regaining health and independence.
How is Dahlia Grove funded?
We get 100% percent of our funding from donations from our community.
How does Dahlia Grove provide services to its clients?
We partner with community organizations for personal health, mental health, physical rehabilitation and life skill services. For safety reasons, we do not publish the names of our community partners but they provide an indispensable service to our clients.
How do women enter the Dahlia Grove program?
Most of our clients are referred by other support agencies or by law enforcement organizations. Since our focus is on long term rehabilitation, we often receive referrals from safe houses and other organizations that are not able to provide long term services.
Where is the Dahlia Grove house? Can I visit it?
For security reasons, we do not disclose the location of our home. We treat the house as the private home of our clients so visitors are limited to those working directly with our clients.
How long can women live at the Dahlia Grove house?
We provide up to two years of rent free living for our clients.
What are the social enterprises and how does this work provide assistance?
Our social enterprises include a catering service as well as our online store. These enterprises provide our residents with basic work skills, the experience of responsibility and spending money – the goal is to create an increasing feeling of independence and self-worth.
